Cool Google Play Pass games for your latest Android phone

If you’ve just got a brand-new Android phone on vacation, you may want to play some games on your shiny computer. Fortunately, that’s particularly easy to do next year with Google’s $5-per-month Google Play Pass games and apps subscription plan, which provides free access to thousands of apps and games without forcing advertisements or requesting in-app payments.

We’ve been browsing at what’s on the Play Pass, and the service has a lot of interesting games to try out. Here are only a few things we’re suggesting. Since all games are also accessible on a stand-alone basis—either free with advertisements and in-app purchases or at specific prices—we have also included their Play Store references.

Prune

Prune

In Prune, you prune trees with a fingertip so that they can grow branches that meet the light. This basic idea is accompanied by a stunning, minimal style of art and lush, soothing music, making it almost meditative. If you need something to relax your mind during a stressful holiday season, consider plumping down on Prune’s couch and a nice pair of headphones.
