Mobile internet services and products had been suspended for three days on Monday all the way through Manipur and prohibitory orders imposed in parts of Kamjong district after violent clashes between voters of two villages over a suspected land dispute, officials discussed. The measures had been taken after villagers of Kamjong inside the homonymous district allegedly attacked the voters and torched houses in Chassad village.
Some voters of Chassad village were sheltered at a government camp, they discussed, without elaborating on whether or not or no longer somebody was injured inside the attack.
Police contingents were deployed in each and every the villages to maintain peace.

Kamjong district magistrate Kengoo Zuringla clamped prohibitory orders beneath phase 144 Crpc at Chassad-Kamjong and along the main freeway of Sampui house inside the hill district “for prevention of breach of peace, disturbance to public tranquility, danger to human lives and properties and to prevent riot”.
